Tesco Mobile :

Tesco Mobile, one of the many MVNOs operating in the UK market, has sparked a potential price war by announcing a ne wunlimited tariff. The new tariff will be a SIM only deal and will offer unlimited calls, unlimited texts and unlimited data for £30 per month. The only stipulation is that users are restricted to £500 worth of usage each month, but even so this seems to be a fantastically good deal.

Tesco Mobile are putting the tariff forward as a recession beating measure and with the promise of unlimited everything it will probably do good business.

Apple rejected Google Voice from the App Store :

Google Voice won’t be making an appearance on iPhones any time soon after Apple rejected it from the App Store. The reasoning behind the decision was that it duplicated existing functionality i.e. making calls, etc. It’s certainly a blow for iPhone users given that Android and Blackberry users can both use Google Voice.

Apple has developed a reputation for not allowing apps that it deems either unsuitable or in competition with its own services so Spotify and Google Voice may have a hard time overcoming Apple’s reservations.
