Discovery of a new fossil primate from Myanmar :

The discovery of a new fossil primate from Myanmar suggests that the common ancestor of humans and apes evolved from primates in Asia, not Africa as many researches believe.

An International team of palaeontologists have found a fossil in Myanmar which challenges the popular theory that humans evolved from a primate in Africa.
The 38-million-year-old fossil belongs to a new genus and species. Ganlea megacanina - refers to a small village, Ganle, where the fossils were found, and its enlarged canine teeth.
